Indian loses life in war against Ukraine, agent tricked into Putin’s army
New Delhi: These days, there are constant reports of Indians who have traveled to Russia for tourism or employment opportunities being coerced into joining the conflict in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, there is news of the death of an Indian in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, as reported by the Indian Embassy on social media platform X. The deceased was a resident of Hyderabad.
It is reported that he traveled to Russia, ostensibly for a visit, but was deceitfully recruited by his agent to serve as a helper in the Russian army. Subsequently, he was compelled to participate in the conflict against Ukraine, resulting in his demise. Earlier, there were also reports of the arrest of 7 Indians in Russia.
Mohammad Asfan, aged 30, tragically lost his life while working for the Russian army. Allegedly, the agent coerced Asfan, along with others, into joining the battle as assistants.
According to the report, Mohammad Asfan’s family sought assistance from AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi in repatriating him from Russia. However, when AIMIM contacted the Indian Embassy in Moscow, officials confirmed Asfan’s death.
