India’s economic growth likely to grow at 7.5% in 2024: World Bank
Washington: The World Bank has projected the Indian economy to grow at 7.5 percent in 2024. It has revised its earlier estimate to 1.2 per cent.
In its latest update on South Asia’s growth rate, the World Bank said the growth rate in South Asia is expected to strengthen to 6.0 per cent in 2024. This will be possible mainly due to strong growth in India and the economy coming back on track in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
According to the report, South Asia is expected to remain the fastest growing region in the world for the next two years. In 2025, the growth rate is estimated to be 6.1 percent.
