Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib congratulates Sikh and Punjabi candidates for winning UK parliamentary elections

Amritsar: Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh has congratulated all the Sikh sangats living in the UK for electing four Turbaned Sikhs for the first time in the British parliamentary elections and five women belonging to Sikh families as a proud achievement for the Sikh community worldwide.

In a written statement issued from the Sri Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat, Singh Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh said that during the last one-and-a-half centuries, Sikhs migrated from Punjab and outside India to western countries and today Sikhs live in more than 161 countries of the world.

He expressed satisfaction that the Sikhs in every country have shown their hard work, honesty and honesty in keeping with the principle of ‘Kart Karo, Naam Japo, Vand Chhako’ of the ten Gurus.
