Khalistanis set fire to Indian embassy in US, say they avenged the killing of terrorist Hardeep Nijjar
Punjab News: Khalistani supporters tried to set fire to the Indian Embassy in San Francisco, USA. Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun had said on June 30 that they would surround Indian embassies from July 8. The incident took place on the night of July 1, the very next day after its announcement.
The incident took place on Saturday, but US government spokesman Matthew Miller gave information about it on Tuesday.
At present, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has started investigating the case. The embassy was not badly damaged in the incident.
This is the second incident in five months. Earlier, pro-Khalistan supporters had surrounded the same embassy in March demanding amritpal’s release.
Khalistani supporters also released a video of the incident. The Indian Embassy in San Francisco in the US was targeted. However, there was not much damage to the Indian Embassy. The fire was brought under control within no time.
