Nine people including two children injured in shooting at US public splash pad in Michigan

Rochester Hills: Nine people, including two children and their mother, were injured, one of them seriously, in a shooting at Children’s Park in Detroit, Michigan, on Saturday, police said. Officials said several families had come to the park to get relief from the heat.

Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard said the suspect hid in a nearby house after the incident and police had cordoned off the house. Officials said the suspect had committed suicide.

The sheriff said a gun and three empty magazines were recovered from the scene. Police have cordoned off the site of the incident to prevent the movement of people.

According to a message posted on social media by the authorities, the danger still persists and they have advised people to stay away from this place.
