Pakistan likely to extend ban on Indian flights for another month: report

New Delhi: Pakistan has decided to extend the ban on Indian flights in its airspace for another month, according to a media report. The decision follows the earlier ban imposed last month in response to actions taken by New Delhi after the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam.
The ban, which was initially in place until May 23, is set to be extended, Geo News reported, citing sources.
Under International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) rules, airspace restrictions cannot be imposed for more than a month at a time, requiring periodic renewal.
The report said an official announcement is expected on Wednesday or Thursday, with a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) likely to be issued accordingly.
