Punjab origin sisters shoot at, one dead another critical in US

New Jersey: A Punjabi youth shot his cousins on Roosevelt Avenue in West Carteret, New Jersey. In the incident, a 29-year-old Jasvir Kaur died while 20-year-old cousin is seriously injured. The injured girl has been airlifted and admitted to the US hospital.

The two sisters are residents of Noormahal in Jalandhar while the attacker Gaurav Gill is a resident of Hussainpur village in Nakodar. US police arrived at the scene after the incident. The police arrested the accused attacker Gaurav Gill after about 6 hours.

A case of murder, attempt to murder and illegal possession of a weapon has been registered against him.

The incident took place on Wednesday morning but the family in Jalandhar received information about it on Friday.
