Punjabi businessman shot dead in Brampton plaza
Brampton: A young Punjabi businessman was shot dead by gunmen in a car at a crowded plaza in Brampton. The attackers, who were caught on CCTV cameras, fled the scene.
Peel police have not yet disclosed the victim’s identity, but sources said the deceased, identified as Jagmeet, ran a hookah business (vape shop) in Mundi Plaza and also operated a trucking company.
Peel police officer Mandeep Khatra said they rushed to the scene upon receiving information and attempted to save him, but he was later declared dead by doctors.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing, with authorities analyzing CCTV footage to track the suspects.
