Punjabi youth murdered in Edmonton, Canada; two suspects arrested

Toronto: A 20-year-old Punjabi youth, Harshandeep Singh Antal, was murdered in Edmonton, Canada, on Saturday.

Originally from Village Muteri Jattan near Ambala, Antal had moved to Canada a few years ago on a study visa and was working as a security guard while pursuing his education.

According to local police, officers responded to a disturbance at a house on Saturday morning and found the victim in critical condition. Despite immediate medical assistance, Antal succumbed to his injuries.

Two suspects, both 30 years old, were arrested at the scene and charged with first-degree murder. Investigations into the motive and circumstances of the crime are ongoing.
