Punjabi youth murdered in New Zealand

Chandigarh: The youth from Ludhiana was murdered in Auckland, New Zealand. The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Gurpreet Singh, a resident of village Pamal.

The deceased was the only brother of three sisters. The young man was married 8 months ago. The wife was preparing to go to her husband.

Sarpanch of village Pamal, Jagdish Singh Jaggi said that the family of the deceased hails from Amritsar district and the father of the deceased, Nishan Singh, has been serving Granthi Singh at Gurdwara Sahib of his village for a long time.

Gurpreet Singh, the 26-year-old son of Nishan Singh, was the only brother of three sisters and had gone abroad for studies, he said.
