Putin condemns Pahalgam terror attack, assures support to India in fight against terrorism

New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam during a phone call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that the perpetrators must be brought to justice.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Putin assured Modi that Russia fully supports India’s fight against terrorism.

“President Putin called up Prime Minister Narendra Modi and strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam,” MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a social media post.

Putin stressed that the perpetrators of the heinous act and their supporters must be held accountable. Both leaders also reiterated their commitment to deepening the India-Russia Privileged Strategic Partnership, the MEA added.
