‘Situation difficult in Gaza for evacuation of Indians’: Foreign Ministry on Israel-Hamas war
The Ministry of External Affairs has said that there are four Indians in Gaza and it is not easy to evacuate them. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said they will be brought back safely to India as soon as the situation is eligible. The government said on Thursday that 1200 people have returned in 5 flights under Operation ‘Ajay’, out of which 18 citizens are also from Nepal and plans are underway to send flights. The situation is being reviewed.
The situation is being reviewed. There were about 4 people in Gaza earlier, but we don’t have concrete figures, there were 12-13 people in the West Bank. The situation in Gaza is such that it is a little difficult to get out of there, he said.
