Top Gun actor Val Kilmer dies at 67

Washington: Actor Val Kilmer, best known for his role as Iceman in Top Gun, has died at the age of 67. His daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, confirmed to The New York Times that he passed away late Tuesday night in Los Angeles due to pneumonia.

Kilmer, who played Batman in Batman Forever, had previously battled throat cancer and recovered in 2014.

He made his film debut in 1984 with the spy comedy Top Secret! and gained further recognition with Real Genius (1985).

Over the years, Kilmer built a strong presence in Hollywood with roles in films like MacGruber and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, cementing his legacy as a versatile actor.
