Trump considers new sanctions on Russia, blocks military aid to Ukraine

Washington: US President Donald Trump said he is considering imposing additional sanctions, including banking and tax measures, on Russia until a ceasefire with Ukraine and a peace deal are implemented.

Trump has also blocked military aid to Ukraine to pressure Kiev into accepting a ceasefire agreement. The move comes after his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office a week ago.
