Trump declares second term will usher in America’s “golden era” and global peace
Washington: Donald Trump, addressing the World Economic Forum via video conference, declared that his second term as U.S. President marks the beginning of America’s “golden era,” promising a stronger, united, and more prosperous nation. He expressed optimism about global peace and prosperity under his leadership.
Trump announced plans to urge Saudi Arabia and OPEC to reduce oil prices, asserting that lower prices would bring an immediate end to the Russia-Ukraine war. “As America’s golden age begins, our country will soon be stronger, united, and richer than ever before,” he said.
Highlighting his administration’s achievements, Trump claimed to have accomplished in four days what other governments failed to achieve in four years. He pledged to introduce further initiatives to foster global peace and prosperity during his second term.
Discussing U.S.-China relations, Trump revealed that Chinese President Xi Jinping had reached out to him, signaling a potential improvement in ties. “I like President Xi very much, but COVID created tension in our relationship. Hopefully, things will improve, and China will help stop the Ukraine war. I look forward to working together,” Trump said.
