About 115492 people in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district have benefited with cashless treatment worth Rs 72,43,42,192 under Ayushman Bharat Mukha Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana, so far.
   Giving the details, Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr Parvinder Pal Kaur, District Nodal Officer, Ayushman Bharat Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana said that cashless treatment worth Rs 21,14,54,800 has been authorised to 23117 patients in government hospitals, out of which claims of Rs 17,99,91,181 have also been settled.
   Similarly, 92375 patients were given authorisation for cashless treatment worth Rs. 58,54,69,294 from empanelled private hospitals under the scheme. Out of which claims of Rs 51,28,87,392 have also been settled, so far.
   She said that as per the directions of Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain and under the supervision of Civil Surgeon Dr Sangeeta Jain, the work of generating e-cards of the beneficiaries enrolled under Ayushman Bharat Mukha Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana, is being done continuosly in the district. She said that under this scheme, e cards are issued to 6 types of beneficiary families, covering under SECC data, ration card holders, construction workers, small traders, small farmers and journalists.
   DMC further said that under this scheme, there are 1, 21, 286 families found eligible in the district, out of which e cards have been issued to 99, 260 families by registering a total of 2,50,013 members as beneficiaries in the district. Ayushman cards are being made in common service centers at a nominal fee of Rs 30, working at various places, while e cards of only patients are made in hospitals, added Dr Parvinder Pal Kaur. She said that camps are also organized at different places to make cards.
   It is pertinent to mention that the needy families enrolled/registered under the Ayushman Bharat Sehat Bima Yojana are given the benefit of free treatment worth Rs 5 lakh in government and empanelled private hospitals. The treatment provided under the scheme covers many serious ailments like heart related disease, knee replacement, eye surgery, maternity, cancer etc. DMC appealed to the people that they can coordinate with the municipal councillor, sarpanch or ASHA worker of their area to get the card.
    People can check their eligibility on the official website www.shapunjab.in. A helpline number 104 can be dialled for getting more information about Sehat Bima Yojana. Arogya Mitra can also be contacted in listed private hospitals. Beneficiaries must carry requisite documents like Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, PAN Card etc. according to their eligibility.
  She said that currently seven government and 30 private hospitals have been listed under this scheme in the district. The list of which is available on the said website.
