Review of development works of all departments
– Orders to complete pending works before March 31

A meeting was held today at the office of Deputy Commissioner Sri Muktsar Sahib under the chairmanship of Shri Rajesh Tripathi to review the development works being carried out by various development agencies of the district on the instructions of the Punjab Government, in which he urged that no type of waste be used in the construction of libraries and Anganwadi centers.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the officers of all departments, especially BDPO and Nagal Council, to submit the UC (Utilization Certificate) of the development works that have been completed and to complete the pending works before March 31st.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that five libraries will soon be built in five villages of the district. During the meeting, he congratulated Sri Muktsar Sahib for coming first in the new survey of the Awas Yojana.
The Deputy Commissioner said that approvals should be given to maximum people under the PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) scheme so that the economically weaker section can get maximum benefit from this scheme.
During the meeting, DDPO Shri Gurdarshan Lal Kundal informed that development works worth Rs. 165 crore have been completed in Gidderbaha block under the MGNREGA scheme worth Rs. 175 crore and the UC of the completed project will be submitted soon.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the BDPO of Lambi to complete the MPLAD works quickly and submit the UC on completion of the work.
The Deputy Commissioner, while presiding over a meeting of the Mining and Geology Department, said that the amount due to the kiln owners who have royalty due should be recovered from the concerned kiln owners and this amount should be sent in Form M to be deposited under the Arrears of Land Revenue.
On this occasion, besides others, Mr. Surinder Singh Dhillon, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), Mrs. Baljit Kaur, SDM, DPRO Gurdeep Singh Mann were present.
