Chandigarh/Alawalpur (Jalandhar), December 3:
In a significant step towards improving sanitation facilities in Alawalpur town, Punjab Local Bodies Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for a ₹10.61 crore sewerage project.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister stated that the project aims to transform Alawalpur into one of Punjab’s cleanest towns by addressing its long-standing sewerage waste management issues.
The project, catering to a population of 10,452, will include an 896-meter intercepting sewerage line, a two MLD sewerage treatment plant (STP), a main pumping station, a 100-meter rising line, and a screening chamber.
