Hoshiarpur, January 19: On the occasion of the marriage of Dharampreet Kaur, daughter of late Avtar Singh, a girl from a poor family in village Patti under Halka Chabbewal, Sarpanch Shinderpal gave Rs. 11,000 to her mother Amandeep Kaur as auspicious money.

Sarpanch Shinderpal said that when he first became the Sarpanch, he had started giving 5100 Shaguns to those girls who did not have a father’s shadow on their heads. Now when he became the Sarpanch again, he had assured the villagers that now he would increase this amount to 11 thousand rupees. Fulfilling this promise, he has started it today by giving 11 thousand rupees Shagun. On this occasion, Panch Palwinder Singh, Panch Sohan Lal, Jagjit Singh and other village and village dignitaries were present.
