Loudspeaker row: Security beefed up in Mumbai, 250 MNS workers detained by police

New Delhi: The loudspeaker controversy in Maharashtra has intensified. The MNS chief Raj Thackeray announced on Tuesday evening that if Azaan was given outside mosques on loudspeakers, then hanuman chalisa would also be recited there.

After this, where an FIR has been lodged in Aurangabad, on the other hand, today in Thane, MNS workers have also started implementing it.

Amid the loudspeaker controversy in Maharashtra, MNS chief  has alleged harassment by ruling government. He said he was getting threatening calls and being harassed while his workers are being threatened to face severe consequences. At the same time, Raj Thackeray said that we are following the Supreme Court's order.

Meanwhile, more than 250 MNS activists have been detained. The Mumbai Police is on alert.

A crucial meeting of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, chaired by NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, is underway.
