14 priest injured after massive fire breaks out in Ujjain Mahakal Temple amid holi celebrations

New Delhi: A fire broke out today during the Bhasma Aarti in the sanctum sanctorum of Mahakal Temple located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, but it was extinguished. In this accident, 14 people, including the priest, were injured, out of which 6 are in critical condition.

It is reported that burning camphor and gulal caught fire during the aarti. The fire was brought under control in time, but it caused chaos during the incident. Ujjain Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh stated that the fire was brought under control, and an inquiry has been ordered into the incident.

It is noteworthy that at the time of this accident, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav’s son Vaibhav and daughter Dr. Akanksha Nandi were worshipping Baba Baba while sitting in the hall.
