20-year-old farmer killed on Khanauri border, was the only brother of two sisters
Chandigarh: A farmer from Bathinda was killed at the Khanauri border during the farmers’ protest. The deceased has been identified as Shubhkaran Singh, a 20-year-old farmer from Ballo village.
Shubhkaran Singh, a young farmer, owned only 3 acres of land. An injury mark has been found on the head of the deceased farmer.
Farmers from Khanauri went to the Punjab-Haryana border four days ago to join the farmers’ protest. Shubhkaran Singh was the only brother of two sisters.
Farmer leaders have demanded the Punjab government to compensate the family of the deceased young farmer and waive their debt.
Shubhkaran’s body has been brought to Patiala’s Rajendra Medical College and Hospital. The family has been informed about the incident.
