3 injured due to electric motorcycle battery burst in Maharashtra

Thane: Two women and a man were injured when the battery of an electric motorcycle exploded in a house in Maharashtra’s Thane district, police said on Sunday.

The roof of the house and the wall adjacent to the neighbouring house collapsed due to the blast on Tuesday night.

The battery was kept in the house located in Chawl in Shanti Nagar in Kalwa area. The battery exploded at around 10.30 pm. It is not known whether it was kept in the house for charging or not.
