71 ministers will take the oath in Modi’s cabinet
New Delhi: Narendra Modi will take the oath as Prime Minister for the third time, equaling the record of former PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Nehru is the only prime minister who has remained in office after three consecutive elections since the country’s independence.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has arrived at Rashtrapati Bhawan to attend Narendra Modi’s oath-taking ceremony. Bihar Chief Minister and JDU leader Nitish Kumar has also reached Rashtrapati Bhawan. Kumar has emerged as a strong partner and kingmaker in the NDA government.
Several counterparts from neighboring countries have arrived at Rashtrapati Bhawan to attend the ceremony, including Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, along with his son Anant Ambani, have also arrived at Rashtrapati Bhawan to attend the ceremony.
BJP MP Amit Shah has arrived at Rashtrapati Bhawan to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi.
