“A slap on dictatorship,” says AAP after Manish Sisodia gets bail
New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released an official statement after the Supreme Court granted bail to senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia on Friday in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case.
The statement read: “After being held in Tihar Jail for 17 months, the Supreme Court today granted bail to Manish Sisodia, the father of the education revolution in Delhi. The entire country knows Manish Sisodia for his contributions to education reform.”
AAP leader and minister Gopal Rai said that the SC has “sent a message that dictatorship has its limits.”
He was jailed on what we believe to be a false case. The AAP leaders said that the BJP’s aim was not to investigate the Delhi Excise Policy issue but to incarcerate Aam Aadmi Party leaders.
