Aamir Khan distances himself from AI-generated poster depicting him as Guru Nanak Dev Ji

Mumbai: Aamir Khan’s spokesperson on Monday said that a poster showing the Bollywood actor as Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is “completely fake and created by AI”. The image, which has started going viral on social media, features Khan dressed as “Guru Nanak” and claims that a teaser trailer is “coming soon.”

In a statement, Khan’s spokesperson urged fans to be cautious of misinformation circulating online.

“The poster depicting Aamir Khan as Guru Nanak Dev Ji is completely fake and has been created by AI. Aamir Khan has nothing to do with any such project. He has the highest respect for Guru Nanak Dev Ji and will never be a part of anything disrespectful. Please don’t get caught up in fake news,” the spokesperson said.

Last year, a fake video of Aamir Khan discussing the avoidance of “jumla” (false promises) ahead of the Lok Sabha elections had also gone viral on social media.
