Agra: Junior doctor arrested for raping minor girl

Agra: A junior doctor has been arrested for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl at the Sarojini Naidu Medical College and Hospital here, police said on Friday.

An FIR has been registered against a junior doctor of the paediatrics department of SN Medical College and Hospital in this regard, police said.

The doctor has been suspended after the incident. Principal of the Medical College and Hospital Prashant Gupta said that a committee has been formed to investigate the matter. According to the information received, the girl was admitted to the emergency ward of the hospital on September 6 due to high fever. Later, on September 7, she was sent to the children’s department.

On Tuesday night, a junior doctor called the girl to his room and raped her. The girl somehow managed to escape from the doctor and told her mother about the incident.

According to the police, a case has been registered in this regard and Dilshad Hussain has been arrested
