AIIMS revokes decision to shut down OPD for half day for Ram Temple event

New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi will not shut down OPD services till 2:30 pm on January 22. Earlier, it was reported that all the four hospitals run by the central government, including AIIMS and Safdarjung Hospital, will remain closed till 2.30 pm on January 22 on the occasion of the Ram temple pran pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya. However, emergency services will continue.

According to an official notice of AIIMS in the national capital, the central government has declared a half-day holiday till 2.30 pm on January 22. “For information of all employees, it is informed that the Institute shall remain closed for half day till 2.30 p.m. on January 22. All heads of departments, unit officers are requested to bring this to the notice of all employees working under them.”
