Amit Shah gets Home portfolio in Modi cabinet: Know who gets what
New Delhi: The distribution of portfolios has been completed about 24 hours after Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony as Prime Minister.
PM Narendra Modi has given the Ministry of Home Affairs to Amit Shah. Rajnath Singh will once again oversee the Ministry of Defense. Nitin Gadkari has been appointed as the Minister of Road Transport and Highways.
S. Jaishankar has been made the Foreign Minister in Modi 3.0. Ajay Tamta and Harsh Malhotra will be Ministers of State for Road Transport and Highways. LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan has been made the Sports Minister.
Former Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has been given two ministries and he will hold the portfolios of Housing and Power. Shripad Naik has been made Minister of State for Power, and Tokham Sahu will be the Minister of State for Housing.
Former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been given charge of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also been appointed Panchayat and Rural Development Minister.
Ashwini Vaishnaw, who handled the Ministry of Railways in Modi Government 2.0, has been given the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Former Bihar CM and HAM party president Jitan Ram Manjhi has been given the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.
Shobha Karandlaje has been made Minister of State. Nirmala Sitharaman has once again been appointed Finance Minister.
