Anurag Thakur accuses AAP of receiving Khalistani support in Punjab polls

New Delhi: Senior BJP leader Anurag Thakur has accused Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of receiving support from Khalistani elements during the Punjab elections.

Releasing a “charge sheet” against AAP national convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Thakur alleged that Kejriwal had turned Delhi into a “laboratory of corruption through scams.”

Addressing the media, Thakur detailed the BJP’s allegations against the AAP, citing multiple controversies involving the Delhi government.

“AAP came to power promising a corruption-free government but has been embroiled in eight to nine scams, including those related to the liquor policy, Delhi Jal Board, DTC, and the Waqf Board,” he claimed.

The BJP leader criticized the AAP government for alleged failures in education and healthcare, accusing it of not opening new mohalla clinics or hospitals and failing to utilize central funds for improving Delhi’s health infrastructure.

He also pointed to the smog tower in Connaught Place, which he claimed was lying idle, while the government spent “crores on advertisements.”

Thakur further accused Kejriwal of questioning India’s surgical strikes and supporting “anti-national forces.”

Additionally, he highlighted issues such as water scarcity, poor sanitation, and deteriorating road conditions in Delhi as evidence of AAP’s governance failures.

As the Delhi Assembly elections draw closer, Thakur vowed that the BJP would work to prevent the AAP from returning to power in the capital.
