Arvind Kejriwal criticizes Election Commission, accuses CEC of political bias

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday lashed out at the Election Commission after the poll panel rejected his explanation regarding a recent claim.

Kejriwal accused the Election Commission of political bias, alleging that Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar was seeking a post-retirement job.

“The ECI cannot see money and blankets being openly distributed in Delhi. It is doing politics because Rajiv Kumar needs a job after retirement,” he said.

The AAP leader further stated that history would not forgive the CEC for his actions and accused him of disrupting the election process.

He added that if Rajiv Kumar wanted to engage in politics, he should contest the Delhi elections from a constituency.
