Arvind Kejriwal, K Kavitha to remain in jail, custody extended by 14 days
New Delhi: A Delhi court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and BRS leader K Kavitha till May 7 in a money laundering case related to the Delhi excise policy.
Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in a money laundering case linked to the scrapped excise policy of the Delhi government. He has been lodged in Tihar jail since April 1.
Kavitha is in judicial custody in the cases lodged by both the ED and the CBI. Kavitha, daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, a member of the state legislative council, was arrested by the CBI from Tihar jail where she was lodged after her arrest by the ED.
He was arrested by the ED in a money laundering case stemming from an alleged scam.
