Arvind Kejriwal promises free electricity, water benefits for tenants if re-elected in Delhi

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal announced on Saturday that tenants in Delhi would receive free electricity and water benefits if his party is voted back to power.

Speaking at a press conference, Kejriwal highlighted concerns raised by tenants across the city, stating they often feel excluded from welfare schemes.

“Wherever I go, I meet people living on rent who say they benefit from good schools and hospitals but are deprived of free electricity and water schemes,” Kejriwal said.

He assured voters that his party would address the issue, particularly for tenants, many of whom hail from the Purvanchal region.

The announcement comes as the AAP intensifies its campaign for the February 5 Delhi Assembly elections, with results scheduled for February 8.

The party, seeking a third consecutive term, has centered its campaign on welfare initiatives, promoting free facilities and improved public services as its key strengths.
