Baba Siddiqui Murder Case: Seven arrested, including shooter from Punjab
New Delhi: In the investigation into the murder of former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, seven suspects connected to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi have been arrested from various states.
Police have seized six semi-automatic pistols, 26 cartridges, a stolen car, a motorcycle, and a GPS tracking device from the accused.
Among those apprehended is Sujeet Kumar, alias Babbu, a resident of Ludhiana, who is suspected of facilitating financial transactions for Nitin, another accused in the case. Nitin allegedly conducted surveillance on Baba Siddiqui prior to the murder.
In connection with the case, the shooters are also suspected of killing Sunil Pehalwan, nephew of a former Haryana MLA, after conducting a similar reconnaissance.
Acting on information provided by Mumbai Police and Delhi Special Cell, Ludhiana SP-D Amandeep Singh Brar assembled a special team on Friday, October 25.
The team, led by Inspector Vikram and consisting of Kailash, ASI Raghubir Singh, and Inspector Rajesh Sharma of CIA-2 Counter Intelligence, located Sujeet Kumar in Sunder Nagar Bhamian, Ludhiana, where he was arrested.
