Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose files defamation case against CM Mamata Banerjee

New Delhi: West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose has filed a defamation case against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the Calcutta High Court.

Banerjee, during an administrative meeting at the state secretariat yesterday, had said that some women had complained to her that they were afraid to go to the Raj Bhavan due to the activities going on in it.

Bose had criticised Banerjee for the remarks, saying people’s representatives are expected not to paint a wrong picture or try to create an impression.

Sources said the Bengal governor has also filed a defamation case against some TMC leaders for similar remarks.
