Bhagwant Mann to continue as Punjab CM, says Arvind Kejriwal

Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday reaffirmed that Bhagwant Mann will remain the Chief Minister of Punjab. Speaking to reporters in Amritsar, Kejriwal said Mann would not only complete his current five-year term but also continue for another term if given the opportunity.

His remarks come amid repeated opposition claims about a possible change in Punjab’s leadership. Kejriwal, who arrived in Amritsar after attending a ‘Vipassana’ session in Hoshiarpur, stayed at the residence of MLA Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar. He also met BJP leader and Durgiana Temple Committee chief Professor Laxmikanta Chawla at her residence.

Earlier in the day, Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann visited the Golden Temple, marking three years of the AAP government in Punjab. He dismissed speculation about Mann being replaced and reiterated that the government would complete its full term while continuing its fight against drugs and corruption.

Kejriwal said the AAP government views governance as a service to the people and is committed to fulfilling the promises made three years ago. He added that he had prayed at the Golden Temple for the state’s well-being.
