A special court for MPs and MLAs in Sonbhadra today sentenced BJP MLA from Dudhi assembly constituency Ramdular Gond to 25 years rigorous imprisonment in a nine-year-old rape case of a minor.
Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADJ) Ahsanullah Khan of the MP-MLA court also imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh on the accused. The amount will be used for the rehabilitation of the victim. With this, he is set to be disqualified from the membership of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
