BJP releases list of candidates for Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand bypolls
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday announced its candidates for the upcoming assembly bypolls in Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
The BJP has announced the names of Hoshiyar Singh Chambayal from Dehra in Himachal Pradesh, Ashish Sharma from Hamirpur, and Krishan Lal Thakur from Nalagarh.
Kamlesh Shah has been given a BJP ticket from Amarwada, a seat in Madhya Pradesh. In Uttarakhand, the party has fielded Rajendra Singh Bhandari from Badrinath seat and Kartar Singh Bhadana from Mangalore seat.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the schedule for by-elections in 13 assembly constituencies in Bihar, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
The Assembly seats where bypolls will be held include four seats in West Bengal, three in Himachal Pradesh and two in Uttarakhand.
The 13 Assembly constituencies going to polls are Rupauli (Bihar), Raiganj (West Bengal), Ranaghat South (West Bengal), Bagda (West Bengal), Maniktala (West Bengal), Vikravandi (Tamil Nadu), Amarwada (Madhya Pradesh), Badrinath (Uttarakhand), Mangalore (Uttarakhand), Jalandhar West (Punjab), Dehra (Himachal Pradesh), Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh) and Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh).
