Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan injured in midnight knife attack at Mumbai home

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an unidentified assailant at his Bandra residence in Mumbai around 2 am on Thursday.

The attacker, armed with a knife, entered the house with the intention of robbery and inflicted serious injuries on the actor. Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery. According to a hospital statement, he is now out of danger.

Preliminary investigations suggest the attacker gained access to the house with the assistance of a staff member.

Mumbai Police have reviewed CCTV footage from the house but found no evidence of anyone entering. They are interrogating laborers involved in floor polishing work currently underway at the residence.

The police have also recorded Saif Ali Khan’s statement and are continuing to investigate the case. Despite the assault, the assailant managed to escape and remains at large.
