Bomb threat on Goa-Mumbai IndiGo flight, all passengers safe
New Delhi: A bomb threat on IndiGo flight 6E 5101 from Goa to Mumbai on Monday evening was found to be false after a security check.
The aircraft was taken to an isolation bay upon landing at Mumbai airport, and all passengers disembarked safely, an airline spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday.
“All standard operating procedures were followed, and the aircraft was restored to the terminal after clearance from the relevant authorities,” the spokesperson said.
While the airline did not reveal the number of passengers on board, an airport official reported that a note mentioning a bomb threat was found on the plane.
A complete emergency was declared at Mumbai airport around 10:30 pm, which was withdrawn by 11:30 pm after authorities determined the threat was false.
