Budget 2025 lays strong foundation for India, says PM Modi
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the Union Budget 2025 as a transformative step towards India’s growth, calling it a “people’s budget” that strengthens the foundation for a developed nation.
“This budget will drive reforms and fulfill the dreams of every Indian. It will attract investment and generate employment, particularly in the tourism sector,” Modi said.
Highlighting key provisions, he noted that individuals earning up to Rs 12 lakh have been exempted from income tax, while the Kisan Credit Card limit has been raised to Rs 5 lakh to support farmers.
He said that the budget would boost the rural economy and benefit the middle class. Modi also underscored the budget’s focus on financial empowerment, said, “Unlike traditional budgets that prioritize government revenues, this one is designed to put money in citizens’ pockets and make them active partners in development.”
Describing the budget as a “force multiplier,” he said it opens new opportunities for youth and advances the mission of a developed India.
He congratulated Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and her team for their efforts in shaping a budget aligned with the aspirations of 140 crore Indians.
