Budget Session of Parliament begins today, President Draupadi Murmu to address both houses
New Delhi: On February 1, 2023, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget in the Lok Sabha. There will be zero hour and question hour in both houses of Parliament in the first two days of the budget session beginning Tuesday. The budget session of Parliament will begin on January 31 with President Draupadi Murmu’s address to both houses at the Central Hall.
There have been reports of a boycott by some parties over President Draupadi Murmu’s speech on the budget. Chandrashekhar Rao-led Bharat Rashtra Samithi and Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party will boycott the President’s address. Both the parties have announced to boycott the President’s speech in protest against the central government.
