“CAA will never be taken back”, says Amit Shah
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has clarified his stance on the negative propaganda being spread by the opposition regarding the CAA. He stated that the NRC and CAA are unrelated issues.
Furthermore, he emphasized that this law will not be repealed and highlighted that it is about providing justice to refugees. In an interview with ANI, Amit Shah addressed all questions pertaining to the CAA.
The Union Home Minister reiterated that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA Notification) is not discriminatory against Muslims. He accused opposition parties of engaging in a “politics of lies.”
Shah pointed out historical demographic shifts in countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, highlighting the decline of minority populations such as Hindus and Sikhs. He questioned the world’s responsibility towards these persecuted communities and emphasized their right to live according to their faith.
