Case against Rahul Gandhi shifted to Crime Branch for investigation
New Delhi: A case filed against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging manhandling outside Parliament, has been transferred to the Crime Branch.
The case was registered at the Parliamentary Police Station on Thursday following a complaint by the BJP, accusing Gandhi of involvement in a scuffle.
Two BJP MPs, who are currently receiving treatment at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, sustained injuries during the alleged altercation on the Parliament premises.
The Congress has also lodged a counter-complaint at the same police station. Gandhi has denied the allegations of bullying, maintaining his innocence in the matter. The Crime Branch will now investigate the incident further.
