CBI probe into Kolkata incident finds vital clues: Supreme Court
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday deferred the hearing in the Kolkata rape and murder case. The Supreme Court had taken suo motu cognisance of the horrific incident that took place with a trainee doctor at the Government RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
A bench of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Mishra took note of the status report of the CBI probe into the case so far and said that important clues have emerged in the investigation by the National Investigation Agency.
Earlier, during the hearing on September 17, the bench had said that the findings made by the CBI in the case were “very disturbing”. The court, however, refused to disclose the findings, saying it could harm the ongoing investigation in the case.
