CBI raids in 19 locations including Chandigarh, seizes Rs 20 crore
New Delhi: The CBI on Tuesday conducted raids and seized Rs 20 crore in cash from the premises belonging to Rajender Gupta, former CMD of WAPCOS, a Water and Power Consultancy under the ministry.
Searches were conducted at around 19 locations, including Delhi, Chandigarh, Panchkula, Gurugram, Sonipat and Ghaziabad, in connection with the Income Tax probe against Gupta.
In the case of assets worth more than income, the CBI and the NIA has registered a case against him and his family members and seized Rs 20 crore in cash today.
