CBI seeks status report on Sisodia’s bail plea
New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to file a status report on the interim bail application filed by former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, arrested in an excise policy case. Sisodia has filed an application seeking interim bail on the ground of his wife’s illness.
Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to try to file a report by tomorrow when the court will hear Sisodia’s plea for regular bail. Sisodia’s counsel said the medical condition of the senior AAP leader’s wife needed immediate attention and requested the court to release her on interim bail. The CBI counsel said it was not possible to submit the report tomorrow.
To this, the court asked the counsel to try to file a report by Thursday so that Sisodia’s application can be heard along with his regular bail plea. Sisodia’s counsel had earlier said that the trial court did not consider the medical condition of the AAP leader’s wife, his wife’s condition was deteriorating.
