CBSE issues show-cause notices to 34 schools for non-compliance
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued show-cause notices to 34 schools across the country for failing to comply with its instructions.
The schools, which include three in Chandigarh and several in Punjab and Haryana, have been given 30 days to respond.
The notices were issued under the Affiliation Bye-laws, 2018, and are related to the participation of these schools in sports competitions organized by the CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society (CBSE-WSO) in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. CBSE had earlier warned schools that it is not associated with these games.
The board has reiterated its stance, cautioning schools against associating with unauthorized events under its name.
