Centre declares June 25 as ‘Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas’

New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah said that now every year on June 25 will be observed as ‘Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas’. He said that Emergency was imposed on this day in 1975 and lakhs of people were put behind bars.

Shah said the government has decided to observe June 25 as ‘Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas’ on the day Emergency was declared in 1975.

He said this will remember the great contribution of all those who endured the inhuman pain of the Emergency of 1975.
