Clashes between Congress and BJP supporters in Hisar, 61 percent voting till 5 pm
Chandigarh: Voting is underway for the Haryana Assembly Election 2024. Voting is being held in 90 assembly seats today. Counting of votes will take place on October 8.
Although voting is going on peacefully in many booths but at some places, Congress and BJP workers clashed with each other, after which the police controlled the situation. After this, security has been increased further.
For the Haryana elections, BJP has fielded candidates in 89 out of 90 seats. The Congress has also fielded candidates in 89 seats. The CPM is contesting one seat. The JJP-Azad Samaj Party alliance is contesting 78 seats. Of these, JJP has fielded candidates in 66 seats, while 12 seats have been given to ASP.
ILND is contesting 51 seats. While it has given 35 seats to its ally BSP. At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party has bet on 88 seats. A total of 1031 candidates are in the fray for the Haryana Assembly elections. There are 101 women among them.
